Bon Odori
A new word to all of you?
Not exactly all of you, at least to me, it was a really new word.
But it is no longer a new word to me anymore,
after attending this event held in Kompleks Sukan Negara located in Shah Alam this year.
Bon Odori is actually a Japanese festival held every single year, especially for Buddhists in Japan to honor their ancestors. Throughout the decades, this festival has also evolved into a family reunion event for the Japanese family.
Guess what?!
It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500years!
Can you imagine how long has this festival been found?
However, this is the 34th Bon Odori festive celebration in Malaysia!!!
There were different kinds of Japanese cultural dances performed and songs played on that day.
Not only that, the different, wide ranged variety choices of food there
would make you
!DROOL!
I swear,
YOU CANNOT IMAGINE
how much we have spent just on the FOOD itself, and
how much was the load we have eaten!
Awesome sial!
At the event, there were all sorts of people...
No offense to the typical Chinese people,
if you 'terasa' a little, I am sorry...
From the lalachais & lalamuis (terribly dressed up Chinese people),
to the sweet looking Japanese dolls-look-aliked girls (oh no, they looked gorgeous, refer to the pictures),
and to the normally or well dressed Chinese (simple is nice),
and the people who usually-got-checked-out-by-me --- the Malay guys
(don't ask! I just find Malay guys are cute and hot)
and so on and so forth! There were too many people, I can't describe it all!
However, I didn't see many Western people around.
I think I'd lose all my focus in life, if there were some during the event.
We were stuck in a terrifically terrible traffic; I've got bored and started to take some random shots...
Introducing our 'driver' from Japan, and his friend! Both of them are Japanese.
Girls? Any of you who are interested? I can match make! Teehee...
Meet my SOHAI FAMILY!!! :)
Have you seen someone who is not gentle at all dressing up as a Japanese girl? :P
Sorry, my Sohai Wen! I ought to tell my readers the truth.
Can you guys believe she's actually a well-known singer? :X Hahaha...
Her sohai-ness makes me love her MORE and MORE and MORE!
She looks pretty and kawaiiness here, doesn't she?
Don't judge till you finished looking at these!
THE PROCESS OF CHANGING HER!
LOLS! Check out her priceless face!
You can't get it anywhere else, BUT HERE, IN MY BLOG!
She said she wouldn't be able to walk properly, which was so true! LOLS!
Look at how she runs across the road! LOLS!
You're so cute, my sohai!
LOOK AT THE CROWD THERE!
OMFG!!!
I couldn't believe there were people who dressed up for this event!
I am sorry, that was my first time attending a Japanese celebration... :(
Last but not least! The food food food and FOOD!
Oh my God! It was like a heaven for me!
A hell for those who are on diet, of course! Ngek ngek ngek!
It all happened just in ONE place,
